Alfred Molli's laboratory, situated in Scafati ( Salerno ), is one of the most known and esteemed handicraft workshops in the art of Christmas Crib.
The artist himself produces his Crib statues ( the so-called "pastori") the animals and everything we can found in the Napolitan Crib following the Eighteen century Neapolitan Christmas Crib school.
The heads of the statues are made of polychrome terracotta with the eyes of glass, instead, hands and feet are made of limetree wood with the carving technique.
The statues are dressed with precious fabrics following the Eighteen century's fashion.
The animals are made of polychrome terracotta or wood.
This work is a mix of patience, competence and technique.
